"Sleepless Knights" became a concept one night, as I was talking to my wife about the challenges of Mental Illness. Somewhere along the line, the thought came to my mind, "I have sleepless nights often, I guess that makes me a Sleepless Knight of sorts as well." In that moment, I was inspired. I reached for my phone and simply wrote on a note "Sleepless Knight." 

The next day I wrote the following poem and posted it on Instagram: 

"Last night I woke up. I was surrounded by Sleepless Knights. I woke up, one of them, another fighter for future lights." Ever since, it's been on my mind, and I knew I needed to take it farther. So here we are. 

 

Those who struggle with Mental Illness, they are a warrior like none other. I am one of them. We're not weak, WE are not broken. We're fighting a battle, and I pray WE are winning. At least winning small victories daily. This title became a world to me. A brand. So here we are! A blog for the sleepless, the struggling, the hopeful and the hopeless. So please join me, in bringing a little more light to the world.
